Emergency First Aid including CPR/AED Certification
This 8 hour first aid program includes CPR level C skills and certification.
Simple First Aid & CPR techniques are taught in an interactive environment, for individuals who want an overview of First Aid & CPR for the workplace or home. The course covers skills needed to recognize, prevent and respond to cardiovascular emergencies for Adults, CPR Level C, AED, and other topics such as choking, airway and breathing emergencies, and prevention of disease transmission.

The following items are covered in this Emergency First Aid including CPR/AED Certification class:
- Introduction
- The Red Cross
- Preparing to Respond
- The EMS System
- Check, Call, Care
- Airway Emergencies
- Breathing & Circulation Emergencies
- First Aid for Respiratory & Cardiac Arrest
- Also includes any other content required by specific legislation

8 Hours
Prerequisites
The following are the prerequisite that a student is required to have before being allowed into this course:
- None Required
Description
Completion Criteria:
• Ability to comprehend and successfully demonstrate the skills and pass a knowledge evaluation with a minimum mark of 75%
• Participants must attend and participate in 100% of the course
Certifications Earned
Upon successful completion of this program you will have earned the following tickets:
- Certification Card
- Certification valid for 3 years
- Please note: Alberta Candidates - this certification can not be recertified. At the end of 3 years, any candidate wishing to remain certified is required to attend the full program again.
