Heart and Stroke Basic Life Support Instructor
This Heart and Stroke BLS Instructor Program prepares candidates to effective instruct the Heart and Stroke BLS programs.

Duration
16 hours
Prerequisites
The following are the prerequisite that a student is required to have before being allowed into this course:
- Completion of the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC) Core
- Instructor module
- HSFC Healthcare Provider – C course within the past 12 months
Description
The Basic Life Support Instructor course is the necessary requirement before an individual may commence
teaching Basic Life Support courses for the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada. Within six months of
successful completion of this course and prior to receiving instructor status, instructor candidates must
complete their monitoring of a full provider course monitored by an Instructor Trainer or Experienced
Instructor.
Certifications Earned
Upon successful completion of this program you will have earned the following tickets:
- Heart and Stroke BLS Instructor certification
