ITLS Access - Vehicle Extrication

This one-day course is designed for the emergency medical services provider or first responder who must gain access to patients in motor vehicle collisions. Classroom instruction and hands-on practice prepare the participant to access entrapped patients using only hand tools.

hdgPrerequisites

The following are the prerequisite that a student is required to have before being allowed into this course:

  • * responsibility to respond to motor vehicle collisions. (i.e fire department personnel, medical responders, police department members, tow truck personnel.
  • Clothing requirements: Students must wear coveralls or clothing that they don't mind getting dirty or ripped. CSA steel toed work boots are also required. Dress for the weather, as we will be outside for day practical portion of the program.
  • A waiver of liability must be signed by all participants.

We get back to the basics with hand, electric and hydraulic power tools.
