Red Cross - EMR to AFA Bridge

This one day (8 hour) program is for those that have previously completed the Canadian Red Cross Emergency Medical Responder program or equivalent within ONE YEAR of the course date.

The following are the prerequisite that a student is required to have before being allowed into this course:

  • Current Canadian Red Cross EMR (within one year) or equivalent
  • Equivalent may be:
  • Current provincial registration
  • AHASTI EMR within one year
  • Email: for additional requests


This program will review basic content and skills, cover any applicable legislation and scope of practice differences for Alberta, and students will complete written and practical final exams.

Upon successful completion of this program you will have earned the following tickets:

  • CRC Advanced First Aid with CPR level C

Student must have a current CRC Professional Responder Manual, or one can be purchased at the office.
