Workplace Emergency First Aid / CPR 'A' (BC OFA 1) and Standard First Aid Combo

This program is for people wishing to work in BC. We have combined the Workplace Emergency First Aid and CPR Level A which is the equivalent to the Occupational First Aid Level 1 certificate and is granted by the Workers' Compensation Board of BC with the Standard First Aid course.

  • * Airway Emergencies

  • * First Aid for Respiratory & Cardiac Arrest
  • * Written exam (min. passing grade: 75%)

  • 16 Years of age

Simple First Aid & CPR techniques taught in an interactive environment, for individuals who want an overview of First Aid & CPR for the workplace or home. The course covers skills needed to recognize, prevent and respond to cardiovascular emergencies for Adults, CPR Level A, and other topics such as choking, airway and breathing emergencies, and prevention of disease transmission.

Upon successful completion of this program you will have earned the following tickets:

  • Workplace Emergency First Aid with CPR Level A - is valid for 2 years.
  • Standard First Aid with CPR C/AED is valid for 3 years.

The Red Cross Workplace Emergency First Aid program is a modified version of the national Emergency First Aid course, designed to meet the needs of BC workplaces.
