Teaching Experience Supervisor

Teaching Experience Supervisors will support and guide instructor candidates through their teaching experience and will evaluate them using competency-based criteria and feedback guidelines.

You will be selecting a course date, so that AHASTI can issue you the course you are attending. There is no in class component in this program.

  • This program is 100% online and will be completed on the instructors timeframe. Stop and Start the program until completed.


This class is 100% online!


The following are the prerequisite that a student is required to have before being allowed into this course:

  • 18 years old
  • Current CRC Instructor level certification (discipline specific), or anyone 18 years and older (or 16 -17 with on-site adult support) who holds a Youth Leader Certification


TES responsibilities include:
• Monitoring the instructors as they go through their teaching experience and provide helpful, personal assistance.
• Helping to create real classroom environments for instructor candidates so they’ll be prepared with both theory and practical skills when they are certified.
• Providing a supportive environment to help ensure instructor candidates confidently meet a consistent and high Red Cross teaching standard.
• Contributing to the socialization of newly certified instructors and help them feel part of the instructor network. .
• Encouraging reflection, allowing candidates to develop their Instructor identity.

Upon successful completion of this program you will have earned the following tickets:

  • Teaching Experience Supervisor designation with the Canadian Red Cross
