Youth Leader Program - is designed for individuals interested in becoming an Instructor for the Red Cross Babysitting and Stay Safe Programs.
The following items are covered in this Youth Leader class:

The following are the prerequisite that a student is required to have before being allowed into this course:
Youth Leaders support the Red Cross Youth First Aid Program through the delivery of our Stay Safe! and Babysitting courses. With the required prerequisites, candidates enter into our comprehensive Youth Leader Development Program, designed to prepare them to support dynamic, learner-centered classroom environments.
Completion Requirements:
Completion of the online component (Fundamentals of Instruction for Youth Leaders)
Completion of a Teaching Experience (unless meet exceptions listed below)
Post-course Requirements:
Youth Leader candidates must complete a teaching experience with a certified Canadian Red Cross Youth Leader.
The following exceptions apply: Red Cross (FA or WS) Instructors or Instructor Trainers are required to own the current participant materials (detailed below) and complete the ‘Fundamentals of Instruction for Youth Leaders’ online component.
The following exception apply for: Educators (elementary or secondary level) are required to own the current participant materials (detailed below) and complete the ‘Fundamentals of Instruction for Youth Leaders’ online component.
Upon successful completion of this program you will have earned the following tickets:

Adhere to the Canadian Red Cross Standards of Behaviour
Youth Leader candidates must complete a teaching experience with a certified
