Medical Standby Coordinator

Job Description: The Alberta Health and Safety Training Institute is growing again!! We are looking for a Medical Standby Coordinator. This position will be responsible for all day to day tasks of the Medical Standby division, including: ◦Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising of staff ◦Continuous contact with current medical standby contracts ◦Marketing and promotions to attain new medical standby contracts ◦Instruction of programs and working at standby events ◦Assist with on call cell phone and other program related projects The successful incumbent will: ◦have strong leadership, organization, and communication skills ◦Registered EMT in good standing ◦Currently a minimum of one of Heart and Stroke BLS Instructor, Canadian Red Cross First Aid Instructor, and/or experience examining or teaching AHASTI EMR and/or EMT programs. The successful incumbent must be willing to attain the remainder of training/certifications after hiring ◦Experience in a post secondary institution or supervisory role an asset On average per week, this position will be required to teach programs two days per week, work one medical standby shift per week, and will have two administration days per week. The incumbent must be able to work a flexible schedule that will often include evenings and weekends.
