AHASTI's in-class training is COVID-19 Update - March 1, 2022

AHASTI is committed to supporting our communities and the COVID-19 initiatives, while maintaining the safety of our staff and participants during this time. We encourage everyone to get their vaccinations for COVID as soon as possible to help protect themselves, their loved ones, and their communities.

As of March 1, 2022 masks will become optional for all programs. Be assured, the health and safety of our staff, clients and program participants remain a top priority. It is not only appropriate, it is encouraged, to choose to continue wearing a mask after March 1. Our spacious classrooms are all equipped with proper cleaning/sanitization products that are available for use during programs.

All are encouraged to assess, manage and continue using precautions that meet your needs and health prior to attending a program. If you have specific questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact our friendly Customer Service Representatives.


First Aid Instructor

Job Description: Do you enjoy educating people with your health, safety and first aid knowledge and experience? Do you embrace the idea of making professional first aid training enjoyable, and upholding a high standard of health and safety excellence? Do you want to make a positive impact on your community while enjoying a work life balance? Alberta Health and Safety Training Institute is currently recruiting First Aid Instructors, to teach our Red Cross First Aid, Youth and Professional Responder Programs. Qualifications · Current Red Cross First Aid, Youth Leader, BLS, Advanced First Aid or Emergency Medical Responder instructor certification · Great interpersonal skills to create a comfortable environment where people can learn and feel relaxed enough to ask questions · Confident in speaking to groups of people and demonstrating first aid skills and protocols · Comfortable in using a computer (e.g. PowerPoint, Red Cross Boulevard, course manager) for course delivery and other related administrative tasks If you are interested in making a difference with us, please apply with your resume and a brief cover letter. Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive Instructor

Job Description: The Alberta Health and Safety Training Institute is looking to hire an additional dynamic member for our team! The incumbent is responsible for delivering the Energy Safety Canada's H2S Alive and CSO programs. Flexibility to work weekday and weekends as needed is an asset. Candidates must have a current Energy Safety Canada's Instructor certificate, as well as excellent communication skills. Apply ASAP as qualified applicants may be chosen as they are found! AHASTI does provide a COVID safe and friendly environment with all course equipment and manuals. AHASTI will complete all the registrations. All instructors are required to bring their own teaching matierials and laptop/projector.
